Nicholas and Michael joined forces in 1985 opening one of the very first Metro West Spas. Not new to the industry, With businesses of their own Michael: Stylist and proprietor of Michaels Hair Loft in Worcester. Nicholas: Stylist and proprietor of Marble House Coiffeurs Northborough. Longtime friends who share the same family values and business practice they combined their salons and staff opening Nicholas Michaela Spa. Today Nicholas and Michael have been recognized as leaders in their industry, Training with some of industries best, Vidal Sassoon of London, Jingles of New York City, Jacque Dessance of Paris.
Giving back comes natural for these two men, they believe that giving back is not just an act of kindness; they believe it’s part of living full life. Hosting their very first Benefit fashion show, the large white tent, grand runway set the tone for this elegant luncheon fashion show held on the grounds of their 18th century Northborough landmark property, a huge success, all proceeds to benefit a Shrewsbury organization friends on the spectrum.
Not missing a beat! In 2008 they learned of a night time electrical fire that closed their business for one year, while renovating their building they opened at a temporary location. In appreciation for saving their building they hosted a cut-Athon donating 100% of the proceeds to Northborough Fire Department and Northborough Police Department. The funds were put to good use, Northborough fire department used the funds for advanced training for there firefighters, The Northborough Police department purchased defribulators for their police vehicles.
Today Nicholas Michaels are considered one of the top fundraising salon/spa facilities, an event that is near and dear to them both. Boston Children's Hospital HAIRraising a charitable initiative that brings the salon industry together to help sick children get well. It was in 2009 when they received a call from John Freda celebrity hairstylist and longtime business partner Gail Federici asking them if they would consider helping them bring awareness to the work being done at Boson Children's hospital. As Committee members, Nicholas Michaels Spa along with Salons across the country open their doors one day a year offering salon and spa services and raffles, donating 100% of proceeds to HAIRraising Boston Childrens Hospital.
